Abstract
This paper presents a reversible data hiding algorithm based on grayscale value histogram with optimal multiple pairs of crests and troughs. The proposed algorithm first generates the grayscale value histogram of the cover image and then selects as many pairs of maximum point and minimum point as possible from the waveform of the histogram to embed secret data according to the ratio on capacity and PSNR. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm has better capacity and PSNR than these of Ni et al. algorithm.
