Abstract
Today is an age when information and technology accumulates and spreads rapidly. On one hand, the explosion of information and technology subjects people to the effort of amassing a large pool of knowledge; on the other hand, the updating of information and technology is accelerating. Thus, it is necessary to change the present ways to promote effective learning. Under this background, e-learning developed with the popularity of Internet. There are increasing demands among organizations for e-learning, and the construction and the selection of e-learning platforms have gained more and more attention. As the levels of e-learning platforms are important guarantees of effective e-learning, this paper introduces four kinds of authoritative divisions of levels of e-leaning platforms and the ways to realize them. Moreover, it compares the characteristics of different programming languages. At last, it mentions the trends of the development of modern e-learning platforms.
