ACM Turing Award: History and Enlightenment

The history of ACM Turing Award presentation, from one perspective, presents the development of computer science and technology. Moreover, the winners of ACM Turing Award enlighten us greatly. This paper performs statistics and analysis for the nationality, education background, universities, specialty and ages when they made contributions of the Turing Award winners between 1966 and 2006. From their growing course, we probe the growth rules of talents and experience of innovation education, and present the advanced idea and education method of American higher education so as to take beneficial enlightenment to higher education in our country.
