Abstract :
This paper is an update of recent experimental demonstration of a possible application of resonant-slot coupled cavity chain as a composite right-handed-left-handed waveguide structure (similar to CRLH line). It reports design strategies for both the CRLH guiding structure and for the backward-forward scanning leaky-wave antenna. In both applications it is possible to achieve the smooth transition between backward and forward mode and, at the same time, good matching to a standard 50 Omega coaxial cable.
