Abstract
This paper investigates a propagation in a waveguide filled with an array of non-connected perpendicular wires (a wire-medium with spatial dispersion). The existence of the recently predicted lowest forward-wave is here verified experimentally by measurements on the experimental waveguide operating in a frequency band 3-10 GHz. It is envisaged this lowest mode could be very useful in construction of miniaturized waveguide devices and antennas.
