Abstract :
While designing a parametric transduction system, in order to compute the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Capacity, we need to calculate the secondary source levels generated by the parametric array at the secondary frequency. The absorption coefficients used in this process can be based on different existing models which account for sound absorption in sea water. However it is imperative that we obtain accurate values of absorption. Therefore here in this paper we use the Fisher Simmons model combined with the KZK equation to design a reliable parametric transduction system.
