Abstract
This paper describes a novel, lightweight technique for significantly improving the resistance of electrolytic grounding system as used typically with anechoic chamber facilities for electromagnetic compatibility testing. The improvement is achieved by making three similar grounding pits separated by a distance of 15´ with each other and are connected in star configuration. The each pit having hollow copper tube with weep holes and buried with special extra material i.e. potter´s clay (dasiamatkapsila clay). The discussion covers this new design concept of grounding system, practical realization and its predicted effect on grounding resistance, which comes very less i.e. Lt 1 Omega.
