Abstract
The requirements for testing to automotive EMC standards in anechoic chambers are varied. They are also different from other EMC standards in that they have two categories of test at either component or vehicle level. The CISPR, SAE, ISO and EC standards are the most commonly used. Since automotive EMC vehicle test chambers can be some of the largest EMC test facilities in existence it is important to have a good understanding of the requirements of the current standards before embarking on such a project.
