A Novel Fuzzy Controller for Switched Reluctance Motor Drive

Abstract :
There are serious nonlinear, variable strongly coupling characteristic in switched reluctance motor (SRM), and its electromagnetic relationship is hard to analyze. According to the nonlinear inductance model of SRM, a control system for SRM is carried out based on the variable universe fuzzy theory, which can modify universe according to the change of inputs. A complete simulation model of a switched reluctance motor control system based on the novel fuzzy controllers was established using Matlab/Simulink/PSB toolbox, and the simulation results show this control system has satisfactory performance.
