Abstract :
The era of distributed software environments is emerging and the research on SoftMan System (SMS), which tries to solve complex problems using entities called SoftMans, is our latest work. This paper identifies the foundations for dynamic migration of SoftMan to address the issue of moving it from one host to another. We propose a set of migration approaches based on the group management strategies. We partially apply our foundations on a local area network to implement SoftMan dynamic migration. At last, the comparison highlights the differences in migration between SoftMan and agent, and also suggests research work for the future.
