Abstract :
In order to study the rules of network roadpsilas traffic dynamic evolution, it is required to establish a certain kind of traffic status model with topological structure of the road network. Most traditional methods are NOT very suitable to describe the links or the directions of traffic flows. This paper puts forward a new visualized model based on HSI (Hue-Saturation-Intensity) color space, then the paper discusses how to transform traffic status parameters (flow volume and occupancy) into color and be mapped on the model. To verify this new approach, based on two kinds of data, i.e., the real loop detector data and the simulation data from Transmodeler, the paper illustrates some typical and significant results and analyzes how the traffic flow evolves dynamically in the road network.
