Abstract :
This paper is concerned with bit error rate (BER) performance analysis and comparison of TH-PPM, TH-BPSK and DS-BPSK ultra wideband (UWB) systems in the presence of multiple-access interference (MAI) under AWGN channel. Under the assumption of chip-synchronous, we derive analytic expressions for BER with very low computational complexity based on the Laplace transform technique. The performance of TH and DS multiple-access schemes are compared for different number of users and SNR values.
