  • Abstract
    In this paper we present a scatternet formation protocol with scalability for dynamic environment. The constructions of scatternet do not need to know the underlying physical topologies and the mobile devices can join in and leave out arbitrarily. If the initial network topology is weakly connected, then our algorithm should guarantee that the resulting topology will be connected. Our algorithm divides the new scatternet into a logical tree structure that simplifies packet routing and scheduling. We also present simulation results that show our algorithm with low formation latency and also generates an efficient topology for forwarding packets.
