Abstract :
The paper presents a upper bound of the average pairwise error probability for a MIMO spatial multiplexing (SM) system in the presence of transmit correlation and a Ricean component. SM such as V-BLAST, based upon channel matrix inversion, rely on the linear independence of antenna channel responses for stream separation and suffer considerably from high levels of fading correlation and/or dominating ill-conditioned line-of-sight channel components. We investigate the influence of space-time correlation and Rician fast fading on the performance of MIMO system, and obtain a upper bound of the average pairwise error probability in space-time correlation Rician fast fading channels. Ultimately, we compare the influence of different channel characters on the performance of system.
