Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an optimal training scheme, based on MMSE (Minimum Mean Square Error) channel estimation algorithm, for block transmissions over frequency-selective channels with single-carrier multi-antenna systems. Training is optimized in order to maximize the lower bound on the ergodic capacity. Comparing with the existing training schemes, the proposed one is more realizable and has lower PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) with little loss in capacity.
