Abstract :
In this paper, a new RFIC receiver architecture for cognitive radio is proposed, which consists of up-mixer and down-mixer. This architecture alleviates the design of on-chip VCO. This solution can satisfy the design of US television spectrum between 54MHz and 862MHz, and extend to 1668MHz. That means this up-down structure can support cognitive radio (or software radio) application which frequency is between 54MHz and 1668MHz.
