Abstract :
In this paper, performance of the pre- and post-FFT beamforming schemes are investigated based on the IEEE 802.11g WLAN indoor channel model. A multi-cluster space-time channel with “Bell” shape Doppler power spectrum is used in the simulation to compare the performance between the two different schemes. Two beamforming algorithms, the DOA-based and the dominant-eigenvector-based, are considered in the WLAN OFDM systems for each scheme.
