Abstract
Pervasive computing is considered as the next generation computing after network computing. It is also considered as the next generation IT technology. For the network technology, OSI Reference Model provides us a general understanding of the computer networks. Such a reference model is very helpful for the network analysis and design issues. Inspired by the OSI Reference Model, we propose a Human-Centered Pervasive Computing System Model (HPC) to facilitate the discussion and analysis of pervasive computing systems. With this model we can easily see the relationships among the pervasive computing components. It helps us to understand some key pervasive computing concepts and technologies.
