Abstract :
Regional continuous navigation and positioning system constructed by formation flying satellites on geosynchronous earth orbit needs relative fewer satellites to obtain high precision of positioning. Space structure of formation flying satellites is steady and the orbits of concomitance satellites around reference satellite are closed, which means high precision of satellite-location in space without frequent orbit trimming. GDOP was introduced to describe ability of system positioning and passive positioning method of TDOA was used to calculate radiant-point on earth. Simulation results show that the positioning-precision of this system is 10 m and even better. The way to achieve higher positioning-precision is baseline-growth and precision- improvement of time measure of signal arrival.
