Abstract :
In recent years, wireless location techniques have gained much attention. In general, the performance of mobile location systems is limited mainly by errors primarily caused by non-line-of-sight propagation (NLOS). In order to mitigate the NLOS influence on the location accuracy, an improved TOA reconstruction method based on ring of scattering model is proposed in this paper. By using this method, the influence of the NLOS error can be reduced noticeably, as demonstrated by our simulation under different channel environments. In particular, compared with other algorithms, the proposed method can significantly improve the location accuracy under bad channel environments.
