Abstract
The petroleum hydrocarbon contaminant from oil industry can enter the soil and badly influence local environment. We take a groundwater system polluted by refinerypsilas discharged oil as research object in this paper. Firstly, we collect soil and groundwater samples in this area and perform soil column leaching experiments. The experiment results show that the pollution sources are sewage tank and canal seepage, leakage caused by production accidents, and non-point leaching of polluted soil layer and waste pits. The petroleum contaminants are mainly in three forms, i.e. emulsified oil, dissolved oil and adsorbed oil. There are three pollution mechanism including direct infiltration through limestone, infiltration through two-layer mediums, and the secondary pollution of groundwater.
