Abstract :
This paper presents the potential of decision support systems (DSS) development in commercial bank industry with respect to two crucial areas: credit management and cash management. It is suggested that in credit management the potential development of DSS concerns both the information compilation and pressure reduction for loan managers. In the area of cash management, the development focuses on applying the stochastic programming model to optimize decision-making under external uncertainty.
