Abstract :
In recent years, the development of highway is very rapid, which lead the highway management has become increasingly complex. Meanwhile, the datas related to highway management are growing geometrically. Facing these massive datas, we are often asked this question "how to use these datas fully and find useful knowledge for decision-making". With the development of data warehouse and on-line analytical processing (OLAP) technology, which can be used to better organize and analysising the massive datas and provide a basis decision-making supporting. So it gives a new idea for us to solve the datas organize and analysising problem of highway management. Based on some principles of data warehouse and the situation of the highway management, this paper designed and established the highway management data warehousing system model and on-line analytical processing system. From the perspective of application, it emphasizes to discuss the architecture of data warehouse for highway management, the designing process of conceptual model, logical model and the realization of on-line analytical processing technology.
