Abstract :
This paper put forward a novel fast anisotropic high pass filtering algorithm based on the improved step angle searching (ISAS). The step angle searching (SAS) algorithm obtains the excellent performance at the cost of the real time performance reduction. Fortunately, the Improved gray gradient orientation (IGGO) algorithm can provide not only the more optimized initial angle but also the confirmation of the searching direction which are the key factors in the SAS algorithm. Thus, combined with the IGGO algorithm and the SAS one, the real time performance can be improved. The experiments indicate that the new algorithm proposed can bring out the great improvement on real time performance while containing the excellent filtering performance of the SAS.
