This paper presents an observer based robust sensor fault reconstruction scheme designed by assigning right eigenvectors. It was found that if the observer had a certain eigenstructure, it could null the effect of nonlinearities and disturbances on the fault reconstruction. The design method not only can detect the fault as fast, but also can estimate magnitude of the fault. The validity and practicability was proved by using it in gyroscope fault of satellite attitude control system.
