Abstract :
The effect of a, b, x to the randomness of Weierstrass function: ¿n=0 ¿ an cos(bn¿x) is studied, then, a new Weierstrass Function-based random number generator (WFU-RNG) is designed, the random numbers uniformly distribute over the interval. In order to guarantee WFU-RNG works well, auto-correlation function method and BDS test are utilized to verify there are no linear correlation and nonlinear correlation in WFU-RNG.Furthermore, the generated numbers are tested at a high lever of significance by NIST special publication 800-22 tests. All these discussions show that WFU-RNG not only extends possibilities of obtaining absolutely unpredictable random number automatically, but also provides random number in simple and portable way. Consequently, it can enhance security of the intelligent systems.
