Abstract
Color cast removal is a fundamental preliminary step in image processing. This paper describes a novel algorithm that using least square algorithm to fit the gray-axis firstly, and then removing the cast through a rotation transformation in lab color space. The proposed method has been tested, with positive results, on a large set of images downloaded from related databases or literatures.
