Abstract :
Input and output constraints are the most common and important in Gasifier process control system. So to deal with this problem, not only can guarantee a smooth running system security, but also saving energy, improve production efficiency. Predictive control method has been shown to be useful to solve constrained problem. But, in the case of real industrial process of gasifier problem, more complex problems must be considered such as multi-variable control problem and model accuracy problem, and so on. This paper presents fuzzy gain-scheduled controller design followed by predictive control. The combined use of the proposed method and predictive control algorithm proves to be a suitable method to solve constrained problem. The good behavior of this method and a comparison with usual PI control are illustrated on an industrial problem concerning gasifier control problem.
