Abstract
The adapted sign-propagation algorithm presented recently by Kouwen for inference with a qualitative probabilistic network has been designed to handle a single observation at a time. Renooij has proposed an adapted algorithm for propagating multiple observations by entering them sequentially and combining the results of the successive propagations, but it still generates unnecessary weakness in multiply connected network. We demonstrate that both approaches are complementary, and propose a new integrated qualitative probabilistic inference algorithm that will provide for stronger results upon inference with multiple observations.
