Abstract
We demonstrate an actively mode-locked short-cavity laser employing a 151 cm-long bismuth-oxide-based highly nonlinear erbium-doped fiber. Stable 10 GHz short pulses are obtained with an 87 nm tuning range. An 8 m-long cavity realizes better stability against external perturbation.
