  • Abstract
    In this paper, two-dimensional photonic crystal band-edge lasers of triangular lattice is designed based on photonic band diagrams and the organic material PTT acts as the gain media. The gain medium consists of a small molecule blue emitting dye 2-(4-(pyren-l-yl)phe-nyl)triphenylene (PTT) doped in poly(N-vinylcarbazole) PVK. The emission characteristics are presented. The lasing phenomenon is occurred only at MII point (emission band locations).
