Abstract :
Based on coupled-mode equations, we develop a pump interaction model for two-pump phase sensitive optical amplifiers. This model takes dominant pump-pump and signal-pump four-wave mixing sidebands into account, and can be used to determine the optimal wavelength separation when amplifiers´ parameters such as pump power, fiber nonlinearity coefficient, length, and dispersion profile are given.
