Abstract :
Having studied the technology of triangle simplification in depth, for the shortcoming of big calculating amount and poor efficiency of QEM used in a fitting algorithm of subdivision surface from noising and dense triangular meshes, here applying a more optimization algorithm of mesh simplification based on local polynomial fitting to improve the original approach. Experiment had proved that the improvement had made sense.
