Abstract :
To prevent electronic products being copied illegally, based on CPLD/FPGA, a new method with the highest security anti-piracy by adopting AT88SC0104C is presented in this paper. The design adopts not only Verilog HDL but also VHDL language programming to fulfill the complete authentication process of AT88SC0104C in CPLD/FPGA device. Because the code in CPLD/FPGA can not be disassembled, the possibility of attacking AT88SC0104C by disassembling and tracing programs in microprocessor to get the passwords or keys is eliminated completely. The evaluating board of the design consists of microprocessor, FPGA (EP2C8), serial configuration device (EPCS4) and etc. The evaluating board can be used for evaluating Verilog HDL or VHDL code, testing the functions of the design, studying the operation of download code and so on.
