Abstract :
Image matching acts main role on digital image processing and computer vision. Least Squares Matching (LSM) is one of methods of image matching. The paper introduces some approaches of image matching, especially the application of LSM in digital close range photogrammetry. The method of calibration of digital camera is described. Matching procedure and principle of multi-image collinear condition constrained least squares matching are emphasized. Field images data acquisition and indoor data processing of photogrammetric investigation of traffic accidents are presented in detail. Feasibility is proved by traffic accidents. Compare with traditional method, multi-photo collinear condition constrained least squares matching technique has advantages in precision, automation, 3D visualization as well as efficiency and work situation.
