Abstract :
In this paper, a modified model that accurately predicts the dynamic behaviour of passively Q-switched solid-state lasers is introduced. The proposed simulation model can be used for predicting the design parameters of passively Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers using Cr4+:YAG crystal as saturable absorber. Simulation results using the proposed enhanced model are in good agreement with the experimental and published results.
