Abstract
Polynomial Cancellation Coded OFDM (PCC-OFDM) is a relatively simple variation on classical OFDM which its inventor claims offers superior multipath, frequency offset and Doppler tolerance at the expense of some spectral efficiency. Previous work on PCC-OFDM has concentrated on its performance in simplistic but mathematically tractable channels, such as AWGN and the two-ray model. We have simulated the performance of PCC-OFDM in a number of much more complex channels representing high-latitude HF paths and find that (at least in simulation) it offers benefits in some circumstances.
