Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the feasibility of a HF MIMO system considering polarization diversity channel. While the ionospheric channel associates most of the time the presence of two complementary magneto ionic modes, a 2times2 MIMO configuration is studied. To be easily installed, such an HF MIMO system should include closely spaced transmitting antennas. The paper presents a potentially MIMO capacity if the magneto ionic modes are matched, for various ionospheric parameters.
