New criteria for insulated substations in rural areas in Medium Voltage cable networks in Sweden

This paper describes the new design criteria and the changes Vattenfall Nordic Distribution has carried out during purchasing and installing transformer stations in Sweden and Finland in the autumn of 2007. A new approach concerning the design, construction and demand of the transformer stations including the Medium Voltage switchgear has been carried out.
