Abstract :
Based on the investigations and analyses on the lightning strikes frequently happened on 110–220kV transmission lines in Quanzhou, Fujian China during the recent ten years, the reasons of lightning strikes frequenlyt happened on the transmission lines in special sections with great height differences, large spans and big corner angles are studied, and the countermeasures to prevent lightning strikes are finally proposed.
