Economics and environmental impacts of reducing distribution cable losses

This paper considers the consequences of increasing cable size in terms of reduced losses, economics and carbon dioxide reduction. In order to quantify these outcomes emphasis is put on the accurate calculation of losses, given the cyclic loading pattern and the peak load.
