Abstract
The following article shows the practical use of a method to calculate the effects of harmonics of the magnetic field on people applying a current cell model in the frequency range up to 100 kHz. Within a certain frequency range, the reaction of the cell membrane on currents (caused by magnetic flux) can be approximately characterized by a first order low-pass filter. In this paper an algorithm has been developed and tested with several real measured signals that considers harmonic currents and the contribution to the reference value consumption according to ICNIRP98. The influence of the RMS-value, the phase angle of the harmonics and the used weighting functions are depicted in the results.
