Strategies for the control of multiple distributed generation schemes

As the capacity and number of distributed generation schemes grows, so does the need for power output control strategies. Candidate strategies for the control of multiple distributed generation schemes have been identified and for each strategy the underpinning control algorithm is given. Through simulations on a United Kingdom Generic Distribution System the annual energy yields resulting from the applied control strategies are quantified and the relative merits of the control strategies are discussed.
