Abstract
To solve the problems in engineering cost prediction, such as unscientific predicting techniques, high work-load and the low veracity, cost-significant theory is used to find out cost-significant items and factors. According to lots of historical time data, the auto-correlation method, G-P arithmetic and calculating Lyapunov exponent is adopted, which simplified the trouble and high work-load of estimation. Theoretical derivation and practical verification proved that the proposed chaos model is fit for short-term prediction of engineering cost estimation.
