Abstract :
This paper presents a novel type of high voltage SCR with high trigger current. For low currents the structure operates in ldquoactive clamprdquo mode and clamps the voltage to a value above the maximum operating voltage. After snapback the structure clamps the voltage to a low value as an SCR.
