Abstract :
With the diversity in the industry on implementation details for ESD control programs, conflicts can arise from companies insisting on doing things their way. When common standards are used as the basis for a control program, this can be overcome and an assessment to standards can determine if the required elements for an ESD control program exist. Using the standard ANSI/ESD S20.20 - 1999 as the basis for an ESD control process, assessments can solve the problems of conflict while still assuring that all the elements of an ESD control program are in place.
