Abstract :
Microwave method and devices for on-line measurement of water content of crude oil are proposed. The method is based on measurement of microwave power propagated through transmission line and reflected from the load that is TEM-line resonator, search of extremes at the diagram that is dependence of relative reflected power on frequency and determination of coordinates (relative power, frequency) of these extremes. Two devices were realized for the measuring ranges (0...20) % and (10...100) % of water content. Corresponding sensors are coaxial line filled in by low-loss dielectric with sectorial flowed-through channel and twisted dielectrically coated two-wire line.
