Abstract :
The action-angle variables for the test electron in the pump magnetic field of a planar FEM with an axial magnetic field are built by means of the superconvergent procedure. Using these variables and the method of the nonlinear resonance, the quasione-dimensional (the dimensions of the equations of motion is one and a half) model of the studied FEM under the undulator resonance is derived. The self-consistent model of the planar FEM with the axial magnetic field coincides with the basic TWT model and provides quiet full analytical description.
