  • Abstract
    As the Profibus is generally applied in the field of control, its feature of real-time has become more and more important. This paper promotes an improved analyzing method on the single-master Profibus stations. In this method, single-master Profibus DP networks´ feature and its protocol are analyzed, and the impact on the messages´ real-time and network load of different priority level using different token processing modes is researched. After that, it gives a calculation method of the response time in the Profibus´ worst network condition. At last, we could conclude that Profibus is a type of definite network. At the same time, Profibus network´s real-time feature could meet the needs in most application situation.
