Abstract
Simulation software is a important tool in transportation research. This research effort focused on simulating pedestrian behaviors during 2008 Beijing Olympics Games by LEGION simulation software. The case study is carried out by comparison the real pedestrian density between without traffic organization and with traffic organization which was the result of simulation by LEGION software. It is concluded that the duration of peak hour was reduced, level of service raise in the exits area and some potential safety problems were prevented. These results verified the effect of improvement measures through pedestrian simulation.
